Campaign Event for Tom Herbert

Are you in the West End of Henrico County? Are you tired of fanatical Republicans and their zany abuser fee schemes? Heard about the real Jimmie Massie?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we want you to join us this Sunday, September 30 for a special get-together. You’ll get to meet all those other progressives and moderates who truly are out there, plus you’ll meet the stars of the show, 72nd District Democratic candidate Tom Herbert and Delegate Brian Moran, Chairman of the Democratic Caucus. The event is from 4:00-6:00 pm at the home of April Cain and Jim Evans, and there will be food and drinks provided. If you would like to attend, just drop a note to Andrew McIntire, and he will hook you up with the particulars.

What are the “particulars” about Massie that we need to know?

He is already on record saying that he won’t repeal the RTAs or “abuser fees” so he is BAD FOR VIRGINIA.

However, TOM HERBERT has failed to capitalize on Virginians visceral hatred of the RTAs and abuser fees. If Tom has a prayer of winning, he has to beat the drum about how Massie is Bill Howell’s lapdog, a mouthpiece of the ultra-wrong, Family Foundation, and that Massie will do NOTHING to repeal the abuser fees or the RTAs.

Also, if Democrats continue to rant about how much they hate all Republicans, instead of reaching out to them on common ground issues, there will never be any hope of winning in these heavily Republican districts.

So, take a long look at all of the things that both Republican and Democratic voters can agree on, with the repeal of RTAs and abuser fees at the top of the list, then invite your Republican neighbors over for a cookout or other social and find ways to convince them to vote for real change in November.

As for Democrats and Republican incumbents who voted for the abuser fees: THROW THE BUMS OUT!

  2. Carol Herbert Says:

Tom is beating the war drum. He is speaking out about Massie’s association with the Family Foundation. He is capitalizing on the abuser fees. Tom has been holding meet & greets throughout the 72nd district. He’s walking in the 72nd talking to folks and getting out his message.

So Clariese come to April’s fundraiser on Sunday, April 30. Hear Tom speak. Join the campaign. Let’s take Virginia back and move it forward.

Oh by the way, Tom is reaching out to moderate Republicans.

    Clairese,

You’re off-base about Herbert. From his opinion piece printed in the Richmond Times-Dispatch (and the next post below this one):

“The abuser fees should be repealed and if I am elected, it is one of the first things I will do.”

Tom CERTAINLY understands what Massie is and is spreading the message about him. I’ve talked to him several times about it, but he needs your help. Come on out Saturday.

Sorry to see you depart this – I think you’re smart and witty. I got sick of focusing on politics and I am sick of the Dems as well and afraid for my country and if I had the means would actually move to another country. In the meantime I can post all over the map and I do at bethsownblog.blogspot.com come and say hi! MWAH
