Obligatory Gonzales Post
As a liberal blogger, I think I’m contractually obligated to do a post about this. Here are my thoughts:
Who fucking cares? The damage has already been done. Removing Alberto Gonzales changes nothing. His policies are still in place and in many instances have even been codified with substantial Democratic acquiescence. His presence was a massive victory for our totalitarian leadership, and his resignation does absolutely nothing to change that. In fact it does the exact opposite by giving the illusion that the cancer has been at least somewhat excised.
So let’s not start blowing each other quite yet.

I completely agree. The beast has many, many heads and cutting one off only causes another to grow back in its place. Nothing has changed, and really his resignation can’t even be said to be a warning for future attorney generals. He’ll probably sit on a board making millions for the rest of his life as compensation for his loyal service.

Thank you!!
It did feel great to read that headline this morning…. but really, what does it accomplish? Basically nothing – worse than nothing, because with him out of office, the likelihood that he will be brought to justice for his actions drops to practically nothing.
Still, it’s kind of funny to see Bush’s brain falling apart, piece by piece.

And let’s not forget that the little guy looks like a toad, which may explain his toadying.
Okay, it’s a stretch, but hell, I’ve been away for a week!

Hold the phone, bush had a brain? You have proof of this Chris?
I wanna see the labushanostra kingpins, g’dubya and his limp dick ,do the perp walk. I’m tired of seeing the street level thugs forced out.
The scientifically impossible I do right away
The spiritually miraculous takes a bit longer

I wonder if this will lead to Cheney retiring for “health reasons.”

Yeah, Clap! His brain came in pieces – pieces called Rumsfeld, Cheney, Rove, Gonzalez, etc.
I suppose one could call them a brain trust… but ‘trust’ is not a word I use where this administration is concerned.
