Bush’s Brain
Brad’s brain is a mostly friendly place. Sure, I’ll attack back those who attack me, and I’ll do it with absolute glee. This ain’t news. But my brain has no deep mental scars that I know of, no tendency to violence, delusions, any of that.
Bush’s brain is a wildly different place, full of rampant, self-destructive alcohol (and likely cocaine) abuse, blowing up frogs with firecrackers, and male cheerleading. Scary stuff.
Dr. Justin Franks, he of the “Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity” and author of Bush on the Couch, recently published an article detailing how Bush, given his unique and utterly disturbing psychology, will react to three scenarios: a sort of Iraqi Tet offensive in which the Green Zone is substantially attacked or even overrun, a preemptive attack on Iran by Israel, and Congress cutting funds for the Iraq Occupation. Essentially what will happen if Bush is backed into a corner. It’s not particularly pleasant.
You can read the whole thing here, but it starts with an overview of Bush’s psychological standing, with his lack of conscience, lack of shame, fear of humiliation, contempt for truth, sadism, and need to break things. The last seems a stretch, but virtually all serious observers recognize elements of the rest in practically everything Bush has done since taking office.
His entire history has been a failure, from his oil business digging dry holes to his baseball team. And now he’s in the likely jeopardy of being an unprecedented failure at the biggest job in the land. He’s under attack from all sides, and he simultaneously seems to not care what others think of him while being terrified of being perceived as a failure.
What does this mean for the remainder of Bush’s reign? What more could he do? I talked before about the chatter online about plans in the works for a “false flag” terror event to unite the country behind a failed leader. Impossible to dismiss (and I’m SURE Bush has at least thought of it), but massively improbable. I’ve thought it unlikely that he would actually order an attack on Iran, despite the obvious preparations in that vein. He obviously doesn’t care about the other branches of government; he’s shown that over and over, so the Democratically “controlled” Congress will never trouble him. But attacking Iran would surely mean the end of Republican control of anything, perhaps for our lifetimes.
The only question that remains: is he that insane?

The one thing to remember about the bush crime family is:
They always make more money.
That idiot g’dubya made millions on his failed oil company, and the baseball team and I’m sure he’ll leave office with more money then he came in with.
If the crime family thinks they will make money on an invasion of iran, then they will do it…
The scientifically impossible I do right away
The spiritually miraculous takes a bit longer

The ordering of an attack on Iran is highly likely to bring about a military rebellion. I am convinced that Chimpy and Shooter both know that. Otherwise, it would have happened already.
