On Wasted Opportunities
So Friday night I was out having dinner, a nice little Italian restaurant in the West End of Henrico called Grapevine. As it was Friday evening, the wait was long so we waited outside for our party to be called. An SUV pulled up, a man stepped out. I looked at his face, hard, knowing him from somewhere but not quite placing it. He noticed my gaze, nodded, and I returned the nod.
When I looked at the license plate as he walked by, I read “109th Congress.”
I had just missed the chance to tell Eric Cantor what I really think of him and his wretched stances. Son of a bitch.
And, yes, I thought about keying his SUV. But then I figured that would probably be a federal crime, defacing government property or something, so I held back. Plus, the parking lot was really well-lit.
And what a bad Jew! Out on Shabbos.
If you live in Virginia’s 7th District, vote for Jim Nachman. Read about him here.

So glad you took the high road and didn’t key the SUV….that would have been such a Republican thing to do
Your Blog looks great. I cant figure out how to get pics to sit in a post correctly…I know how to upload the pics but cant get the text to start next to it….either my text appears above or below the photo. I will change the URL in your link tomorrow…right now its off to bed to prepare for another day in corporate America —damn I can never sleep on Sunday’s.

Hmmm, I actually haven’t messed around with that, but it seemed to work below where I used preexisting code from Blogger (from an image I leeched while fucking blogger wasn’t uploading). You could probably just edit the html using the “left” align code.
Do you prefer the Blogspot or WordPress site for your link? I noticed you had both, and both seem to have the same content.

What you should have done instead was build a time machine and go back to Cantor’s high-school days, then stop the class bully from punching him and smashing his glasses, making him the evil he is today.

I have some sort of mental block as to the whole space-time continuum thing, so keying would have been a lot easier. I would probably just use that time-machine for personal gain, Back to the Future 2-style, anyway.

So what crime has Cantor done? Besides the usual (voting against the people’s interests, etc.) Is he involved in the Abramoff at all? I know very little about my own congressman except that I do not like him (saw him at a Super Bowl party years ago. and no it was not playboy sponsored)

Cantor hasn’t done any crime that I’m aware of. I think you may have misread the post; I said it probably would have been a federal crime had I keyed his car as I was thinking, mostly in jest, of doing.
As for why he should be removed from office, he’s one of the biggest hawks in the house, he voted to restrict personal bankruptcy laws while allowing them for corporations, he got 17% from the NEA showing his disdain for education, he’s clearly in the pocket of Big Oil, etc., etc. Basically in lock-step with everything Bush wants. His personal duty is to slash everything good the government does in order to fund more war and military spending. You can read more about his stances here.

Actually now that I think about, his voting habits should be a crime.
